Employees play a major role in a company, Although technology has overtaken the humans task still humans cannot be replaced, therefore it is essential for all companies to implement some strategies that foster work life balance , A better work-life balance will positively impact employee retention, leading to greater loyalty to the company.
Below are some of the strategies that a employee could maintain to maintain a better work life balance - Set Clear Boundaries
One of the key factors in Managing work life balance is setting clear boundaries between work and personal life .(Bella, 2023) Setting clear boundaries is one of the main thing to do to refrain from burnout . This can be achieved by defining specific work hours and sticking to them.
- Learn to say 'NO'
Overcommitting to work is one of the factor that many employees do to get the employers attarction, But Over Committing to work responsibility often leads to exhaustion , Due to exhausting the productivity will tend to decrease , therefor its always better to learn say NO if that specific task is nor tended to you
- Prioritise Time Management
Effective time management is one of the important strategies that employees should balance in order to balance the work with personal life . Procrastination is one of the main thing that employees should not follow in order to finish the task on time , which will also allow them to spend some good amount of time with their family ,
- Engage in Physical and Mental Well-being
Taking care of one's physical and mental health is a part of living a balanced existence. Meditation, regular exercise, and getting enough sleep all support general wellbeing. According to studies, exercise lowers stress and enhances cognitive function (Ratey & Hagerman, 2008).
- Seek Support and Delegate Tasks
Delegation and seeking support is one thing all of us can try in our day to day life, this will really help in balancing the work life balance , (Glynn et al., 2002)
